Michele O’Neill

Some people are born to run; others find their passion for the sport later in life. I fall into the latter category. I started running as a 39 year old mother of a pre-schooler who had only ever run in gym class before, and—after a lot of training and perseverance—graduated to running ultramarathons in my 40s. Now, as a 50 year old mother of one, coming back from a torn ACL and meniscus (which didn’t happen while running), traveling around the country for work, I have run everything from 1 mile races to 100ks, and have logged miles on roads and trails in 47 different states. I am proof that you are never too old—or too ANYTHING—to be a runner, and I love inspiring others to get out there as well.
