I am a hiker, climber, runner, cyclist, paddler, skier and most importantly someone who loves to spend an evening with a good book and a hammock immersed in the trees. I am the person who takes up space for those who love to get outside, no matter what that looks like. For those that aren’t trying to break a record, or make history, for those who just love to be there doing things that light them up inside. I am an advocate for growing the landscapes of my outdoor passions by diversifying the folks that are present through conversation, recreation, invitation via equity and inclusion of all experiences. I believe that the future of these sports and outdoor recreation isn’t just in consumerism or aspiration, but in showing folks through accessible experiences that doing (insert activity) is possible with help; be that providing a safe space, financial assistance, a buddy system, or just simple representation. I am someone who knows that these passions are to be shared not gatekept.
